The Atomic Maven 86 R Skis + M 10 GW Ski Bindings are one of the best bang for your buck deals, and a great skiing package designed for advanced beginner to intermediates sticking mainly to groomed snow. “R” stands for “Rental”, but don’t let that hold you back – it’s the exact same ski as the regular Maven 86 with a slightly thicker, more durable topsheet. Mild tip and tail rocker combined with a dialed OMatic Core provides the right balance of maneuverability and edgehold to keep you in high spirits throughout the day.

Utilizing the latest generation of HRZN Tech Tip, Flow Profile delivers the ideal combination of camber, shovel taper, and tip rocker to create a ski that hooks up on hardpack as well as floats in fresh snow.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
