Take flight like the beautiful boarder you are on the Jones Ultralight Butterfly Splitboard, a technical objective oriented tool for the backcountry. For techy snow to tight corners, its unique shape balances weight with performance, extending its effective edge while reducing weight. True Camber provides increased performance in variable off-piste conditions, and a fusion carbon construction with traction tech and top of the line splitboard hardware ensures you’ll be ready when the snow falls. Migrate to the backcountry and bloom on the Jones Ultralight Butterfly Splitboard.
              Â
Rocker Type
      Â
True Camber–        A traditional full camber profile that offers the insane edge response ofcamber without the usual hang-ups. The camber radius tapers into thebeveled 3D Contour Base at the tips which releases the edges where theylike to hook and balances the pop and directional stability of camber witha looser, less-catchy feel.
      Â
Flex
      Â
   Flex Rating–        8 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
      Â
      Â
   Directional Flex Pattern
      Â
      Â
Forever Flex–        All Jones boards are broken in using specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use to help stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for it’s lifetime.
      Â
Shape
      Â
3D Contour Base 3.0–        Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring a 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0 – 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.
      Â
      Â
8mm Taper–        The tapered shape sinks the tail in pow for better float and quicker turns.
      Â
      Â
Blunt Nose–        “How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep is dictated by it’s front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the ‘snow plow’ rounded tip and it’s extra swing weight.” – Jeremy Jones
      Â
      Â
Progressive Sidecut–        At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
      Â
      Â
   Double Radius Tips
      Â
Core
      Â
Fusion Core–        The Fusion Core is Jones’ lightest wood core yet. Core ismade from mostly paulownia with specifically positionedpockets of poplar for improved durability and response.
      Â
      Â
Koroyd® Core–        Award-winning synthetic core material developed for theaerospace industry. Koroyd absorbs vibrationsand adds response at a fraction of the weight of woodwhich enhances board control and riding confidence.
      Â
Laminates
      Â
Fusion Carbon–        This cutting edge board lay-up process is the latestevolution of our previous Fusion Tech constructionand reduces board weight and improves durability bycombining board materials in two stages.
      Â
      Â
Ultra Construction–        Ultra Construction is the redefinition of what it takes tobuild a snowboard. Jones tested every inch of the boardto precisely position materials exactly where they areneeded while eliminating all excess materials. Combiningthese innovative construction techniques with superlightwood cores and carbon fiber deliver revolutionary results.Jones Ultra boards are the lightest, yet most durablesnowboards on earth.
      Â
      Â
Fiberglass Reinforcement–        Fiberglass layer improve pop in nose and tail plus increasesthe longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layerhelps the board perform the same on day 100 as it didon day one – precise and playful.
      Â
Sidewalls
      Â
Recycled Rounded ABS–        ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
      Â
Base
      Â
Ultra Base–        Jones exclusive base material that sets new performance standards. Labresults and snow testing show 25% better wax absorption, better glide inwarm/wet snow and better durability for grinding. They’ve also doubled theamount of wax and mixed multiple wax types for a faster factory wax in awider range of conditions.
      Â
Edges
      Â
Inside and Outside Traction Tech–        Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
      Â
      Â
Outer Oversized Recycled Edges–        All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.
      Â
      Â
Inner Thin Recycled Edges–        Advancements in ski edge durability allow Jones to use thinner edges to save weight.
      Â
Additional Features
      Â
Bolt-Less Bridge–        The Bolt-Less Bridge eliminates split clip attachment hardware from the base of the board by re-profiling the wood core at the clips. The wood core under the clips is thicker providing better torsional stiffness and a more powerful connection at the split clips.
      Â
      Â
Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C with Tips Lock–        Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C feature a three point tension system. Ultralight andexclusive to Jones, these clips redefine split clip technology. They are alsoadjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.
      Â
      Â
Wend Natural Wax–        Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
      Â
      Â
Bio Resin–        All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy.
      Â
      Â
Factory Tuned–        All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

-    Terrain:    All-Mountain, Splitboarding                                    All-MountainAll-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.                    SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you’ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it’s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.           Â
