Finally, someone stepped up and made a legit, women’s-specific pow ski, and wouldn’t you guess it’s K2. The K2 Mindbender 116 C W Skis is the same magical ski that’s been blowing minds and winning hearts for the past few years as a men’s model, but now available down to a 163 and ready to rip some sweet pow lines under ladies’ feet. An Aspen Micro Block core is swathed in Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass and Flax fiber to create this damp, floaty and awesome weapon that’ll have you convinced after the first turn.

Rocker Type

Powder Rocker– Powder Rocker is designed for unmatched flotation in deep snow. This tip has the most elevation and longest rocker and offers skiers a surfy feel with enhanced soft-snow performance. The camber still exists to ensure edgehold in firmer conditions.

Core

Aspen Micro Block Core– Many small stringers of Aspen give a consistent flex, smooth feel, and damp ride.

Laminates

Bio Resin– Increases bonding with the core, adds cold temperature strength, and is more sustainable than traditional resins.

Spectral Braid– K2’s Patented Spectral Braid is a first of its kind variable angle reinforcement that allows for precision-tuned torsion and flex by altering the fiber orientation along the length of the ski. This makes the ski feel lively, energetic, and remarkably composed.

Uni-Directional Flax– Flax is a lightweight and sustainable natural fiber reinforcement fabric that improves a skis ability to track in variable terrain resulting in improved suspension and composure.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
