The all new K2 Recon 140 BOA Ski Boots represent the pinnacle of K2’s approach to fit and performance. They’re the stiffest boots K2 has ever produced, and the 140 flex should leave no skier wanting for more when things get rowdy. That burly flex is complemented by a plethora of cutting edge technology, including BOA closure on the lower shell and Intuition PowerFit Wrap BOA liners which cinch down to keep your heel locked in place. For demanding freeriders seeking the best of the best, nothing else compares.
Fit
MultiFIT Last: 97 – 100mm– The MultiFit Last was developed in conjunction with the BOA® Fit System to accommodate a variety of footshapes ranging from 97mm to 100mm eliminating the need for multiple last option (LV, MV).
FastFIT Instep– Softer TPU material is used in the instep area of select models’ shells for quick and easy entry and exit.
Fully Heat Moldable
Flex
Flex: 140– A very stiff flex for the most aggressive skiers.
Liner
Intuition PowerFit Wrap BOA®– BOA liner increases adjustability and hold across theentire foot. Features stiffer foam with a full wrap designfor added power and energy transmission. Completely heatmoldable with pre-molded ankle pocket.
Shell Materials & Design
Shell– TPU (Thermoplastic Urethane)
Cuff– Pebax
PowerLite Shell– The shell is purpose-built to result in the best skiing, lightest weight boots ever produced. Made with four different stiffnesses of TPU and optimized wall thickness profiling, the Powerlite Shell achieves a paradoxical balance of lightweight agility and power. The resulting boots weigh in as some of the lightest alpine and freeride on the market, yet they ski with all the power and drive of heavier boots.
PowerFuse SpYne– A rear co-injected “Y” shaped design that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock, the PowerFuse SpYne maximizes fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness for sustained performance and responsiveness in all terrain. Because of the SpYne, K2 is able to optimize materials in the cuff and shell, eliminating excessive vibrations in rough terrain.

- Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you’ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.
